Spring
and Summer Events 2008
Hello, Frank here.
Conservation Work
The final winter meet of the Conservation Work Party took
place in the second week of February. We concentrated on clearing
some of the scrub, which had begun to take over the grassy
slopes near the old ochre bins. The area appears much more
open now, although there is still more work to be done there
next winter.
A big thank you to all members of the group for your efforts
through the winter months.
We will start again, hopefully, on the second Monday in September.
Some extra support would be most welcome, so if you fancy
coming and having a go, tools provided, then ring Ken 0117
9089670, or simply turn up on the day- Main Gate at 10.30
am, dressed comfortably for the great outdoors.
